Become a mentee and get a mentor in industry
The Mentorship Program builds connections between alumni and current students in the Master’s Programme in Electrical Engineering.
As a mentee, you will gain inspiration, opportunities to exchange experiences and the chance to get to know a professional alumnus or alumna – while having a great time.

Your mentor
Get perspective from someone who has been there
As a mentee, you will be paired with a professional alumnus or alumna who can share insights from both their time at KTH and their career after graduation.
- Get advice on career choices and possible paths after graduation.
- Get help improving your CV or preparing for interviews.
- Learn about different industries, workplaces and professional roles.
- Get a glimpse of everyday life as an engineer, for example through a workplace visit.
- Have someone to discuss studies, working life and your future with.
Meetings and events
Individual meetings and joint activities
You will meet both individually and at events for the entire Mentorship Program, such as pub nights, dinners and other social activities. How often you meet is up to you and your mentor, but we encourage mentor pairs to meet roughly once a month.
The alumni group arranges the joint events and is available throughout the program should any questions or issues arise.
How it works
From application to your first meeting
01. Apply
Complete the form and tell us a little about yourself and why you would like to join as a mentee.
02. Matching
The alumni group matches you with a mentor based on your interests, ambitions and background.
03. Get in touch
When the matching is complete, you and your mentor receive each other’s contact details and can begin planning your meetings.
04. Get started
The program begins with a joint dinner in Tolvan, the chapter hall, in early October. The exact date will be announced later.
Practical information
One academic year, with an option to continue
The Mentorship Program runs throughout the 2026–2027 academic year. After that, you may choose to continue for another year with the same mentor or be matched with a new one.
How often you meet is up to you and your mentor, but the aim is to meet about once a month.
Please note: We cannot guarantee that every applicant will be assigned a mentor. This depends on the number of alumni who sign up and whether a suitable match can be found.
